Aberfeldy Scouts trip down to Fife and their stay at Scotland’s Secret Bunker
Aberfeldy Scouts went off to Fife last weekend. They started with some ten pin bowling at Dunfermline Hollywood bowl for Jambowlree. the fielded two Scout teams and a team made up of Young Leaders from their group. Scores have been entered and they are now waiting to see if they’ve beaten last years entry.
Next they went over to St Andrews and stayed overnight in Scotland Secret Bunker. While they were there they took part in WWF Earth Hour by playing board games while using the bunkers own power supply. This was a fantastic sleepover and the Scouts got to look at many of the rooms and items that are preserved in the bunker. They also got to sleep in one of the real dormitories.
The following day after all the excitement of sleeping in a nuclear bunker they went home via the Scottish Deer Centre to look at the evolution of various Scottish species and what is being done in regards to conservation and reintroduction around Scotland. All in all a great weekend!
